Time to Think About Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas
Can you believe it’s almost time for Thanksgiving? GIRL. Me neither. 2020 has been nothing short of a raging dumpster fire. It feels like just yesterday we were fresh from the holiday season and ready for Spring and Summer, then Covid changed a LOT of our plans and traditions. Graduations, proms, summer holidays, a lot of things changed or were flat out cancelled.
Well, I know ONE tradition that can stay the same, despite the current pandemic: Thanksgiving. Yes ma’am, you can still slay the living room in a bomb thanksgiving outfit. I’m more of a comfy dress girl myself, but you may be a loungewear or go all out girl. Either way, I got you, below are three ideas you can wear to the living room runway on Turkey Day. And at the very bottom are a few items you can grab if you still need the perfect piece for your look.
Plus Size Thanksgiving Look Idea #1: Lounge Wear
I am obviously obsessed with lounge wear (lol). Like really, really obsessed. Before the pandemic, I didn’t have that much lounge wear, but it’s quickly become my go-to uniform and all I fill up my cart with. Thanksgiving might not be any different this year. Plus size lounge wear isn’t just ugly tracksuits anymore, so many brands are making chic pieces you can wear inside and outside. I LOVE a good coordinated lounge wear set
Plus Size Thanksgiving Look #2: The Easy yet Chic Dress
THIS one is probably what I am most “known” for (haha). Prior to my obsession with lounge wear, I wore dresses/skirts 99% of the time. I actually pretty much still wear a dress 85% of the time. People always assume dresses have to be fussy and constricting, but they don’t! An easy and loose shirt dress or a ribbed dress with lots of give will be just as comfy with your old sweats, and you’ll look pulled together for your 3rd nap of the day.
Plus Size Thanksgiving Look #3: The POP OUT Look
Even in the living room you’re not about to be caught slipping and I am all about that, girl! The pop out look is hair done, nails done, everything did – sequins, lace, heels, the whole nine. Since most of us are staying home, I personally won’t be partaking in the glam look, but that should not stop YOU from doing it big. IF you want to get glammed up, my recommendation is to go with fabrics with lots of stretch and silhouettes that emphasize the waist, and not the post-turkey belly 😉
