Transition Pieces: Taking Pieces from the Turn Up to the Boardroom.

Happy 2019!!! This year, one of my resolutions is to ONLY buy pieces that I can get multiple uses out of…

Because if you’re anything like me, chances are you have two separate wardrobes (or even 3!):

  • Work and “work-appropriate:” These are your office lewks, ones you can take with you to the boardroom and maybe can transition to after-work drinks

  • Casual/non-work wear: These are pieces that you simply cannot wear to work; however, with the right finesse, you can make it work

  • BONUS – Thot wear: Courtesy of Fashion Nova (J/K…but for real lol)

Do you guys remember these super cute Boohoo camo cargo jeans from this post? I’ve actually worn them loads of time since then; casually, for nights out, around the house and even at work.

They’re actually a really good work trouser, they’re not too fitted but not baggy and they can look very pulled together. For work, I paired them with a classic Chambray button-down, black pumps and an over-sized bag.

Now that’s winter (I’m in Texas, so my “winter” is a lot different than it used to be), I threw on a classic trench from Banana Republic (at $200+, it’s an investment piece that I have been wearing for about two years) and a thin scarf.

I am always investing in these types of pieces because a girl needs to stretch her budget, OK?
