Why is Plus Size Denim So Hard?!
If you know me, you know that I rarely wear jeans. It’s not that I don’t like jeans, but it is so hard to find a pair that fits everything, looks great, and is affordable. The truth is, my body shape makes it hard to find jeans; I’ve got a narrow waist, a lower scoop belly and a booty and thighs. Thanks to genetics, I’ve been gun-shy when it comes to buying denim for years.
But, I’m not the only one who has issues, In a 2010 poll, 56% of women surveyed said they had “trouble finding jeans that fit and flatter.” I can definitely relate – if a pair of jeans fit my thighs and booty, I have a huge waist gap. If I order a pair of jeans strictly by waist size, you can bet your bottom dollar that I am NOT going to be able to shimmy into those bad boys.
I had pretty much given up on jeans 🙁
Enter Measure & Made – Plus Size Denim That FITS
With my life-long denim affliction, it looked like jeggings would be my only option. So you can’t imagine how surprised and excited I was when Measure & Made reached out to me about their amazing jeans. Measure & Made is a clothing company that uses FITLOGIC®, a patented sizing system that takes into account both your size and your body shape. It was so easy to get the correct fit number; you just answer a few simple questions on their Fitlogic® Fit Quiz and it gives you the perfect size and shape. I am a 20.3, meaning I wear a size 20 in the 3 shape. The 3 shape has a smaller waist and carries weight in the lower regions (which I definitely DO!). I got my jeans and BABYYYYY they fit like HEAVEN. No waist gap, plenty of room for my thighs, held in my belly pooch and felt strong and sturdy.
You DESERVE Plus Size Denim That’s Affordable & Looks Great!
I know there are plenty of plus size stores making jeans, but to be honest I’ve found that they are either low quality, high in price or stop at a size 18 or 20. Measure & Made has affordable, actual jeans that go up to a size 28! You heard me right, a size 28; the Measure & Made denim is seriously size inclusive. Everybody deserves a great pair of jeans that they love, no matter their size, and at an accessible price point.
I would definitely recommend giving Measure & Made’s denim (and their awesome trousers!) a try if you’re anything like me need more space in the bottom. Never fear if you’re an apple shape though – They have a different shapes at different sizes so that you can get the perfect fit every time. I’m wearing the skinny ankle jean in dark wash, in a size 20.3.
